Girisa Ali is an entreprenuer, business consultant, and world-traveler with a focus on community development.
While growing up in Cleveland Ohio, where she still resides, Girisa was well known for friendly and free spirit. She earned a Bachelor of Art in Social Work with a Minor in Teaching from Cleveland State University, and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Girisa is currently finishing her Ph.D. in Business at Case Western Reserve University.
Girisa’s focus is on economic and community development and helping people follow their dreams. This passion arises from her determination to reach her own goals despite challenges she has had to face and overcome. She wants to have a significant impact on communities and low-income areas.
Her area of expertise is in helping businesses connect better with their consumers by building bridges and communicating effectively. Working for over 25 years in the public, private, and non-profit sectors has provided her experience in management, life coaching, strategic implementation, professional development, and partnership collaboration.
Girisa’s professional experience includes holding positions as Director of For Hope Corporation, Assistant Director at Learn and Grow, Project Manager of Warrensville Youth Organization, Qualified Mental Health Specialist II at Beech Brook, and Logistics Specialist at Amazon.
In 2010, Girisa decided to pursue an entrepreneurial venture and founded Glink, LLC. As founder and Director of Glink, she provides management consulting and business strategy to start-ups and growth-seeking firms.
She holds certifications from the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio State Notary. She currently serves as an Advisory Board Member of the Executive MBA program at Cleveland State University, as well as on the Ministry Board at Advent Lutheran Church. She is also a member of the Ohio Chapter of the Management Consulting Division of the Academy of Management at Case Wester Reserve University.
Girisa enjoys traveling to foreign countries. She aspires to broaden her efforts by applying her studies and experience in culture, religion and international business to global ventures.
