Black Money-Matters is an exceptional educational program designed to meet individuals where they are on their economic-learning journey and take them where they need to be.
Financial Literacy → Financial Fluency → Financial Mastery
Financial literacy refers to a basic understanding of money management, including budgeting, saving, debt-management, and investing. Knowledge of these concepts is a necessary foundation for building healthy habits and avoiding the mistakes that perpetuate or lead to poverty.
Basic financial literacy, alone, is not enough, however. It does nothing to close the wealth gap that disproportionately plagues the Black community. Until the “secrets” of wealth generation are made privy to those who are typically left out of “the know”, economic equality can not be achieved.
Financial literacy should be the starting point, but it can not be the destination. Financial mastery must be the goal.
Financial mastery refers to an advanced understanding of asset management, revenue-growth strategies, and financial forecasting.
